Waldport Takes The East Coast - 2024

Join us for another 8-day East Coast adventure covering American history and culture, from our Revolutionary beginnings to the modern day, from Broadway to baseball. Waldport students and families will have the opportunity to explore the most culturally rich sites in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Williamsburg!

Day 1: Arrival Day – Boston

Meet your Tour Guide, Mitch, at Boston Logan International Airport
Take the Boston Metro and drop off your luggage at the Hotel
Begin your explorations around Boston with some walking tours
Visit and Tour Fenway Park
Enjoy Dinner in Boston
Finish the evening with some additional sightseeing with Mitch.

Day 2: Boston –> NYC

Breakfast
Start your day at the Boston Tea Party Museum
Board your Private Motorcoach
Enjoy a visit to Yale University en route to NYC
Stop at the hotel to drop off your luggage
Enjoy a Baseball Game in NYC (Dinner at the game included)
Take the NYC Subway back to your hotel for the evening

Day 3: NYC

Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
9/11 Museum & Memorial
Walking tour of the Financial District (Wall Street, Federal Hall, New York Stock Exchange, Trinity Church, and more!)
Dinner in Little Italy
Broadway Show!

Day 4: NYC –> Philly –> DC

Enjoy Breakfast
Visit Central Park and 5th Ave before departing for Philly
Quick stop in Philly to see the most popular sites, including Independence Hall
Dinner
Bus to DC and check into your hotel

Day 5: DC

Enjoy Breakfast
Visit the US Capitol Building and Library of Congress
Stop by the White House for a quick photo op.
Spend the afternoon at a Smithsonian Museum
Enjoy Dinner
See the DC Memorials at Night!

Day 6: DC –> Williamsburg

Enjoy Breakfast
Visit Arlington National Cemetery for the morning
Stop by Mount Vernon
Grab Dinner to Go and depart for Williamsburg, VA
Check into the hotel

Day 7: Williamsburg & Water Country USA

Enjoy Breakfast
Tour Williamsburg, VA for the morning
Head back to the hotel for a quick change
Enjoy the afternoon and evening at Water Country USA
- Dinner at the Water Park

Day 8: Jamestown & Departure

About YOUR group leader

Mitch is the owner of the company, and will be your tour guide. He has over 20 years of experience leading student tour groups around the world. He is a graduate of the University of Paris-Sorbonne, with majors in History and Philosophy, and runs a tour guide training school called TripSchool. He’s the author of four travel guidebooks for New York City, Boston, and D.C., and is in demand as an international travel industry speaker. He lives in Brooklyn, NYC.

Enrolling is easy! Click on the “Reserve Your Spot” button and submit your deposit. Please note, the deposit is non-refundable. Clicking the booking link will initiate your choice of a payment plan or pay in full.
We encourage you to pay by bank transfer, which is extremely easy to set up. The tour price is based on paying directly from your bank; paying by credit card will incur an extra 2.9% fee (charged by the processor).

Preferred Travel Protection Plan

We offer travel insurance as part of travel protection plans from our partner TripAssure.
To cover you for the unforeseen, we encourage participants to purchase travel insurance, which may include benefits for trip cancellation, trip interruption, missed connection, travel delay, medical expense/emergency evacuation, baggage and personal effects, baggage delay and more.
Covid-19 and its various strains are treated the same as any other Sickness under the travel protection plan.
TripAssure offers the Basic, Deluxe Plan and Deluxe Plus Plan options. Familiarize yourself with the
contents of each plan to ensure to get the one that best suits your needs.
The travel protection plan that includes “Cancel for any reason” coverage must be purchased within 21 days of enrollment with your deposit.
