Broadway Bound: Big Sky Takes on NYC!

Get ready to step into the spotlight on a 5-day theatre-packed adventure in the heart of New York City — just for Big Sky High School students!

We’re talking FOUR jaw-dropping Broadway shows (yes, FOUR!) that’ll leave you inspired, starstruck, and maybe even dreaming of your own name in lights. But it’s not just about watching — it’s about doing. You’ll take part in an exclusive Broadway Clinic led by a real Broadway performer, learn about the “business of Broadway” from a real Broadway agent and learn what it takes to make it on the Great White Way. When you’re not soaking in the theatre magic, you’ll be exploring iconic NYC landmarks like Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, and Lady Liberty herself. This is your chance to experience the energy, creativity, and wonder of Broadway and New York — all in one unforgettable trip

PROPOSED ITINERARY

Rise and shine, jet-setters!

Day 1: Wheels Up – Hello, NYC!

  • We’re taking off bright and early, heading east to the city that never sleeps. After a quick layover and some in-flight snacks, you’ll touch down in New York City by late afternoon.
  • Grab your bags and hop aboard your private ride into Manhattan, where your hotel awaits. But don’t get too cozy yet — the city is calling!
  • After a welcome dinner to fuel up, we’re kicking things off with a sky-high experience at The Edge Observation Deck— 100 stories up with panoramic views of NYC. Talk about a dramatic entrance

Day 2: Lady Liberty, Wall Street & Your Broadway Debut!

  • All aboard! This morning, cruise out to see the legendary Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, where millions began their American journey.
  • Then we hit the streets of the Financial District, strolling past Wall Street and through the powerful stories of the 9/11 Memorial — a moving moment of reflection. Spend some time in Chinatown, Little Italy and Soho to shop, “nosh” and learn about the immigration to NYC
  • How about a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge?
  • As the sun sets, the curtain rises. It’s time for your first Broadway show! Get ready to laugh, cry, and cheer your heart out — Broadway magic starts now.

Ready for your Broadway moment?

  • Start the day with an unforgettable Broadway Clinic, taught by a real Broadway performer. Learn the tricks of the trade, ask questions, and even try out some choreography or scenes.

  • It’s time for a Broadway matinee — your second show of the trip!
  • But wait, there’s more: enjoy a group dinner near Times Square, then head right back for your third Broadway show of the week. That’s two shows in one day — because why not go full Broadway beast mode?

She is super passionate about immersing her students in the world of theatre, not only locally but globally. When Ms. Briner isn’t teaching, you can find her singing with her band at Missoula Children’s Theatre directing or performing, hiking the trails of Missoula, or floating the river (when it’s warm enough).
